It's true, I'm (Jen) a tri geek, so I'm going to tell you about a sport many of you have probably never heard of: It's called winter triathlon.

Winter triathlon is a fully sanctioned International Triathlon Union (ITU) sport. It is far more popular in Europe than in the United States. However, it has taken a foothold in the Rocky Mountain region, particularly our wonderful state of

I had the opportunity to meet the legend, Klaus Obermeyer, at the Ski Industry show yesterday. He turned 90 last month! I asked him how many days he was going to ski this year and he said "every day, my office is 5 minutes from the lift and I plan to ski every day I can". The key components of a snowsport conditioning program are muscular strength, power, flexibility and endurance. It also helps to work on technical skills such as balance training. Finally, skiers, particularly those that are injury prone or have a history of ACL injuries, should consider integrating the ACL injury prevention warm-up to their program.
